		<description>&lt;b&gt;I always knew ...&lt;/b&gt; &lt;br&gt; I always knew Maytag made the best appliances... this one's still running after 77 years!! Sure is a much longer time than our 1999 Frigidaire washing machine, which lasted 5 years. i guess today's washers can't handle the extremely hard water in a small town.</description>

We didn't get it until 1949 and I remember a few remote farms didn't get it until the 70's! After light bulbs, my mom's first purchase was an electric Maytag wringer washing machine!</description>
